How Vector works.

Getting started

  1. Open the app. Vector makes its wallet in your browser the first time: no sign-up, no email.
  2. Top it up with a little ETH on its home chain, from the panel or from any wallet. Notes cost a fraction of a cent in gas.
  3. Say hi, or just say the errand.

Things you can say

What's my private address?Shows your stealth meta-address (st:eth:0x…). Share it to get paid privately.
Publish my private addressPuts it in the ERC-6538 registry, so people can pay you privately at your plain wallet address.
Send 0.05 ETH privately to 0x… / st:eth:0x…Pays a one-time address only the receiver can find. Add “note: …” for a sealed memo.
Whisper to 0x…: …A sealed message to someone's private address. No money moves.
Check my inboxScans announcements with your view key and lists what came in for you.
Sweep my private funds to 0x…Moves what your one-time addresses hold; each pays its own gas.
Remember: …Writes a sealed note on-chain. Add “publicly” to leave it readable by anyone.
What does 0x… say?Reads a note by its ID (the transaction hash).
Show my notesLists every note this wallet wrote, read back from the chain.
What's my balance?Balances on all four chains, in dollars where there's a price.
Send 0.01 ETH to 0x…Sends ETH, BNB or any token. Add “on Base” etc. for another chain.
Buy 0.005 ETH of 0x…Buys a token on Vector's home chain: Pons curve, Uniswap v4 after graduation, otherwise Relay.
Sell all / half / 25% of 0x…Sells back to ETH the same way.
Swap 10 USDC to ETH on BaseSame-chain swap through Relay.
Bridge 0.02 ETH to BaseMoves funds between chains through Relay.
How much would 2 KB cost?Live price of writing that much on-chain.

Vector always answers in English. It also understands errands typed in French or Spanish.

Notes

A note is a transaction from Vector's wallet to itself whose data carries the text, so it lives on-chain for good and its ID is the transaction hash. Private notes are sealed with AES-GCM in your browser, under a key derived from the wallet's own signature: only that wallet can open them, wherever you import it. Public notes are plain UTF-8 that any explorer shows. Up to 24,000 bytes per note.

Privacy

Private payments follow ERC-5564 (scheme 1, secp256k1 with view tags). Your Vector derives two keys in the browser from its own signature: a spending key and a viewing key. Their public halves form your meta-address. A sender's Vector picks a random ephemeral key, combines it with your viewing key to get a shared secret, and pays the one-time address that secret points to. It then posts an announcement (the ephemeral key, a one-byte view tag and, if there is one, a memo sealed with the same secret) through the announcer contract, in the same transaction.

Your Vector reads those announcements and checks each against your viewing key. The view tag rules out 255 strangers in 256 at the cost of one hash. When one matches, only your spending key can derive the key for that address. Nobody else can link the address to you, the sender included once it's swept.

The announcer has no owner, no storage and no fee. It sits at a fixed CREATE2 address, 0x4a472E552b84881099f8d231284b02C03fF1a5cc, and the first private payment deploys it if it isn't there yet. Meta-addresses go in the ERC-6538 registry at 0x6538E6bf4B0eBd30A8Ea093027Ac2422ce5d6538, which is already live.

What stays visible: the sender's wallet, the amount and the time. What is hidden: who received it. Sweeping into your main wallet links the payment to it, so sweep into a fresh address when that matters. Private payments are ETH on Vector's home chain for now.

The wallet

One private key, made in your tab and stored in this browser only. Same address on all four chains. Show, copy or import the key from the panel. Clearing the browser's site data deletes it, so keep a copy.

Autopilot and limits

Staying safe

Vector only acts on what you type. Notes, whispers, token names and anything it reads are shown as data and never parsed for instructions. When a model helps read a message, its answer is accepted only if every address, ID and amount in it appears in your message as written.
